Generally about cookies
1.1 HMK Bilcon A/S (hereinafter referred to as “HMK”) uses cookies on its website in accordance with this cookie policy. We inform you about which cookies are placed on your IT equipment in order to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation that Danish websites are obliged to follow.
1.2 A cookie is a text file that allows you to store information or access data already stored on your computer, tablet, smartphone, terminal equipment and the like in order to collect data about you and to recognize the equipment. The collected data from cookies is used among others to analyze your behavior on the website and to give you the optimal experience. A cookie is a passive file, so it cannot spread computer viruses or other malicious program flour. Both first-party and third-party cookies are available. HMK uses both.
1.3 HMK uses the following first-party cookies:
1.3.1 Session Cookies: These are temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your Internet browser. The purpose of session cookies is to remember your preferences as well as record when you leave the website.
1.3.2 Persistent cookies. Persistent cookies remain in your Internet browser’s subfolders until you manually delete them or your Internet browser deletes them based on the duration of the cookie file. The duration is typically between 30 seconds and 2 years, and for HMK typically for up to 30 days. The purpose of persistent cookies is to be able to separate the visitors from each other and determine whether the visitor is a unique visitor in the system used for web statistics. In addition, the purpose is to collect statistics on when the visitor has visited the website as well as information on where the visitor is coming from and moving on.
1.4 Google Analytics has access to session cookies and persistent cookies set by HMK.
1.5 As a third-party cookie, HMK uses the following:
1.5.1 Facebook pixels: The Facebook pixel is an analysis tool used by HMK to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook by analyzing the actions you take on our website. With Facebook-Pixel, HMK thus collects data about your journey on our website for direct marketing on Facebook. You can read more about Facebook pixels here.
1.5.2 Google Analytics Cookies: Google Analytics helps website owners measure how the visitor interacts with website content. You can read more about what cookies Google Analytics sets and their expiration time here.
1.6 HMK collects personal information in cookies, including your IP address and Internet behavior. HMK refers to our privacy policy regarding the collection and processing of personal data, which you can find here. HMK collects your personal information and data about you and links such data with other information that HMK already has or gets from other parties, among other things, to create a profile that can target inquiries to you (retargeting).
