On 24 April 2026, HMK Bilcon signed a new contract with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) for the delivery of a significant number of refuelling units.

The contract was awarded following a public tender process in which several international suppliers submitted bids. HMK Bilcon met all tender requirements and was awarded the contract based on the lowest price.

The agreement covers serial deliveries of two different types of refuelling units for aircraft and helicopters, including options, as well as subsequent service and maintenance.

In addition to design, production, assembly, and testing, the contract also includes delivery of an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation package in accordance with FMV’s requirements.

The refuelling units can refuel aircrafts or helicopters from all types of externally connected fuel tanks and are self-sufficient, powered by their own diesel engine.

Project execution is already underway at HMK Bilcon, with the first delivery scheduled for week 52.

HMK Bilcon sees significant potential for supplying these products to other NATO countries, as they can also be used for refuelling airborne units in other armed forces.
