New successful climate test of fuel tanker truck at -40°C

Tank Truck Passed New Arctic Climate Test Down to -40°C
In week 45, we carried out yet another demanding climate test of one of our custom-built fuel tank trucks at Force Technology in Lindø. The tank truck was exposed to extreme temperatures down to -40°C to document that both pump operation and fuel dispensing perform even under Arctic conditions.

A Successful Test
The test was a success and once again confirms that HMK Bilcon’s fuel tank trucks are built to deliver reliability even in the harshest climates. The results document that both the construction and the choice of components meet the requirements of NATO Stanag 2895 (C1 and C2), ensuring full functionality in very cold regions such as northern Norway, Sweden, Greenland, and the Baltic countries.

New Processes for Quality and Reliability
The experience from our completed climate tests has already led to new internal test procedures for critical system components and hardware. After the first test at -32°C, we implemented fixed routines to test selected subsystems in our own climate chamber. This means we now work continuously and closely with our suppliers to ensure that all components meet the high demands our NATO customers place on operations under extreme temperatures.

Many Years of Operation in Greenland
For more than 25 years, several of our tank containers for fuel dispensing have been in operation at Station Nord in northern Greenland, where performance requirements are high. Our containers are fully functional and thoroughly tested in the cold climate, where we have also carried out service and maintenance over the years.

More Climate Tests on New Products
We expect to conduct additional climate tests as we develop new fuel tank trucks, and our new fuel container will also be climate tested at the facilities in Lindø.
