HMK Bilcon A/S has delivered one of two new Expandable trailers for the Swedish Army. The trailer is built on a strong steel chassis with the body made of fiberglass-reinforced polyester panels. These highly insulating panels form both inner and outer cladding, constructed according to the sandwich principle to ensure great strength and insulation.

With 63 m² of space, the trailer offers plenty of space and it is bright and comfortable with a modern and contemporary interior design. All surfaces are easy to clean and require minimal maintenance.

The trailer is equipped with two large working areas, a kitchen, a server room, and a toilet. It includes all necessary installations such as full climate control in each room, underfloor heating, auto-levelling support legs, a power generator, and a network. In addition, two large antenna masts of 550 kg each have been installed, which places great demands on the construction of the trailer.

There is ample storage space in fixed cabinets inside the trailer, and workstations are set up with tables and chairs. Soundproofing between rooms has also been prioritized to ensure a god indoor working environment.

The design of the trailer was made in close collaboration with the Swedish Army to create a more user-friendly trailer for live training of personnel. The trailer is a fully functional unit, ready to use. It is easy to set-up, and it takes a trained person only 30 minutes to expand the trailer.
